Manage Settings

Couchbase-Server settings can be established by the administrator.

Settings Overview

The settings for Couchbase Server cover:

  • Memory quotas, storage modes, and advanced settings for the Index and Query services.

  • Software updates, whereby periodic email notifications are provided to the administrator, in relation to software-update availability.

  • Node availability, whereby automatic failover is configured.

  • Email alerts, whereby users can be notified of critical system-events.

  • Auto compaction, whereby data on the server is automatically compacted if specified thresholds are met.

  • Sample buckets, whereby buckets pre-populated with documents can be installed, for the purpose of experimentation and testing.

The following subsections explain how to establish settings by means of Couchbase Web Console.
